Blackburn Middle School Panthers Football Team won the Middle School Football Championship Game with an 18-14 victory over Nichols Middle School, finishing the season with a perfect 9-0 record

The team averaged 30 points per game on offense and recorded six defensive shutouts across nine games

The 22-member roster includes student-athletes who also serve in leadership roles including Class Representative, Mr. Blackburn, Mr. 8th Grade, and Mr. Homecoming King

Head Coach Kevin Goss led the team alongside five assistant coaches and Athletic Director Tanisha Walker

The Mississippi House of Representatives formally commends the team for bringing honor to their school, the City of Jackson, and the State of Mississippi
