East Webster High School Wolverines won their first state football championship in school history on December 6, 2025, defeating Heidelberg High School 28-16 in the MHSAA Class 2A State Championship at Davis Wade Stadium

The team finished the season with a 14-1 record, tying a school record for wins, and set a program record with 583 total points scored during their 40th football season

Receiver Lakendrick Potts was named Championship MVP after recording 191 yards on seven receptions with two touchdowns; defensive player Zamarrien Jones recorded 13 tackles in the championship game

Head Coach Ron Price led the team along with assistant coaches Jason Smith, Codie Silver, Matt Snow, Brandon Haynes, and Blake Hutchinson

The Mississippi House of Representatives formally commends the team and extends best wishes for their future athletic and academic endeavors
