Extends the repeal date for Mississippi's energy efficiency standards for building construction from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2029

Standards based on ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2016 apply to commercial buildings, government buildings, hotels, retail establishments, and office portions of industrial plants

Exempts mobile homes, privately owned non-commercial buildings, federal buildings, and structures with minimal energy usage (less than 3.4 BTU/hr or 1.0 watt per square foot)

Local governing authorities retain enforcement power with inspection fees capped at $150; the Department of Finance and Administration enforces standards for state-owned buildings

Takes effect June 30, 2026
