Expands Mississippi's juror pool by replacing the current voter registration requirement with two new criteria: possession of a valid Mississippi driver's license and filing state income taxes for at least one of the previous two tax years

Maintains existing juror qualifications including minimum age of 21, ability to read and write, no conviction of an infamous crime or unlawful liquor sales within 5 years, and not being a common gambler or habitual drunkard

Requires county jury commissions to compile master lists in April each year using driver's license and state income tax records instead of voter registration rolls

Takes effect July 1, 2026
