Amends Section 45-45-7 of the Mississippi Conveyance Safety Act to clarify that private residence elevators are subject to the Act's general provisions but are exempt from annual inspection requirements.

Removes the previous blanket exemption that excluded all private residence conveyances from the Act's coverage.

Maintains existing exemptions for industrial and commercial equipment including material hoists, man lifts, mobile scaffolds, cranes, conveyors, and industrial trucks.

Effective date is July 1, 2026.
