Certified strength and conditioning coaches employed by Mississippi public school districts would receive a $6,000 annual salary supplement if they hold Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association

Coaches must submit certification documentation to their school district by October 15 to receive the full supplement; those submitting between October 15 and February 15 would receive half the supplement for that school year

The supplement applies only to K-12 strength and conditioning coaches not serving in administrative or supervisory roles

This adds strength and conditioning coaches to existing $6,000 supplement programs for National Board certified teachers, school nurses, counselors, speech-language pathologists, and athletic trainers

The bill takes effect July 1, 2026
