Creates the Mississippi Crawfish Farming License, requiring any person farming crawfish in privately owned waters or ponds to obtain a license from the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce

Defines crawfish as freshwater crustaceans of genera Cambarus or Astacus

Defines crawfish farming as raising, harvesting, and producing crawfish from eggs to food size in controlled, privately owned environments

Grants the Department of Agriculture and Commerce authority to promulgate rules and regulations for establishing, overseeing, and regulating the crawfish farming license program

Effective date: July 1, 2026
