Authorizes random vehicle inspections for weapons and contraband in employee parking areas, with refusal subject to administrative discipline including suspension or termination.

Mandates annual mental health and wellness training for all correctional officers and supervisory personnel covering stress management, conflict de-escalation, emotional regulation, and peer support as a condition of continued employment.

Requires annual leadership development training for supervisory and command-level staff addressing ethical leadership, staff conflict management, preventing retaliation, and creating a culture of safety.

Mississippi Department of Corrections must submit annual reports to the Legislature on compliance, staff-on-staff violence incidents, weapons-related disciplinary actions, and improvement recommendations, with the act taking effect July 1, 2026.
