Creates the Property Tax Elimination and Replacement Study Committee to examine eliminating ad valorem taxes on real property and identify alternative revenue sources to replace lost funds for counties, municipalities, and school districts

Committee consists of 12 members including the Commissioner of Revenue, appointees from the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House, plus chairs of Senate and House committees on Finance, Ways and Means, Appropriations, Agriculture, and Forestry

Required to review 10 years of property tax revenue data, evaluate cost savings from eliminating assessment and collection duties, and assess impacts on state appropriations and local government funding

Department of Revenue must provide staff and administrative support, with additional assistance available from the PEER Committee upon request

Final report with legislative recommendations due to the Legislature by December 1, 2026, with the committee dissolving on January 1, 2027 or upon report submission, whichever occurs first
