Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars won the 2026 MAIS 4A-D3 Girls Fast-Pitch Softball State Championship by sweeping rival Silliman with a 10-0 mercy-rule victory in Game 1 and a 7-0 win in Game 2

Junior pitcher Madelynn Lambert led the team, going 5-for-7 at the plate with 2 RBIs and 2 runs, while pitching the final game with 52 strikes on 93 pitches against 23 batters

All nine players in the lineup recorded hits in the championship game, combining for 15 hits and 7 runs with only 1 error

Six seniors played their final game for the team: Morgan Chemin, Alayna Daigle, Annabel Gaskin, Ryleigh Purdy, Mirriam Wallace, and Whitney Grace Whittington
