Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College men's golf team won their second consecutive and third overall NJCAA Division II national championship, along with 10 tournament wins during the season

Head Coach Brad Thornton received the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year award from the Golf Coaches Association of America for the second straight year

Stanley Campbell won the Arnold Palmer Award as medalist at the NJCAA Division II Championship and earned NJCAA All-American First Team honors; John Mark Mills and Ludvig Behring also received All-American recognition

The team won the NJCAA District D Tournament for the 16th time in the last 17 events and earned NJCAA Academic Team of the Year Honorable Mention

The Mississippi Senate adopted this resolution to formally commend the team, with copies to be presented to college President Dr. Mary S. Graham, Coach Brad Thornton, and other administrators
