Loyd Star High School won both the Girls and Boys 2025 Class 2A State Golf Championships, marking only the third time in Mississippi history that both teams from one school claimed state titles in the same year

The girls' team won by 7 strokes over Tupelo Christian, led by Junior Kaylin Hester who earned individual medalist honors with rounds of 78 and 80

The boys' team dominated with a 52-stroke victory over runner-up Baldwyn, with Sophomore Brooklyn Lee shooting 72 and 68 to claim individual medalist honors

Head Coach Jonathan Breakfield oversees both programs; the boys' team finished first in scoring average per 18 holes among all MHSAA divisions, ahead of larger schools
