Notes that Mississippi governors from both political parties have issued Confederate Heritage Month proclamations during April since 1993

Encourages citizens to reflect on the costs of war and renew commitment to unity and understanding among all state residents

Recommends displaying the 1894 Mississippi State Flag on state buildings and grounds on Confederate Memorial Day as a symbol of remembrance

Directs distribution of the resolution to the Governor, Mississippi Department of Archives and History, and Capitol Press Corps
