West Lauderdale High School Boys Cross Country Team won the 2025 MHSAA Class 4A State Championship, marking their third consecutive state title (three-peat)

The team defeated Corinth High School by one point and improved their overall team average time by 28 seconds from the prior season

Hunter Walton won the individual state championship for the second consecutive year with a time of 16:18, and holds the program record for fastest 5K finish at 16:12

Key runners included Ryan Thompson (6th place, 17:05), Aaron Walls (9th place, 17:34), Brody Gresset (15th place, 17:51), and Sawyer Windham (20th place, 18:05)

Head Coach Paul Shelly has led the program for 11 years, assisted by coaches Misty Atkinson and Cathy Gordon, with the team winning seven invitational meets during the regular season
