Recognizes the 30th anniversary of "Kappa Kamp," a summer enrichment program at The Piney Woods School sponsored by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

The Piney Woods School, founded in 1909 by Lawrence Clifton Jones, is one of only four historically black boarding schools remaining in the United States

Kappa Kamp has operated since 1986, providing students in grades 6-10 with intensive workshops, cultural activities, arts and crafts, field trips, and educational lectures

Program objectives include developing reading, writing, and speaking skills; exposing students to science, technology, and survival experiences; and providing character education in a Christian atmosphere
