Adopts the Uniform Electronic Legal Material Act, allowing Montana to designate electronic versions of the state constitution, session laws, and Montana Code Annotated as official legal records

Requires official publishers to authenticate electronic legal materials by providing a method for users to verify records are unaltered from the original publication

Authenticated electronic legal material is presumed accurate, with any party challenging authenticity bearing the burden of proof by preponderance of evidence

Mandates preservation, security, backup, disaster recovery, and permanent public access for official electronic legal records

Effective October 1, 2025, and designed to promote uniformity with other states that adopt similar legislation
