Adds a new definition of "publication" or "publish" to mean issuing a work in printed or electronic format for Montana Code Annotated purposes

Eliminates requirement for the code commissioner to prepare subject indexes, constitution indexes, and popular name indexes, retaining only the requirement for tables relating code sections to prior compilations and session laws

Changes title-by-title recodification of the Montana Code Annotated from a mandatory duty ("shall") to a discretionary one ("may")

Removes requirement for the code commissioner to index the code as part of ongoing maintenance duties

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval
