Removes the biennium-specific date reference ("For the biennium beginning July 1, 2023") from the fire preparedness statutory appropriation, making the 0.5% appropriation from the fire suppression account permanent and ongoing

Requires the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation to report annually by November 1 to the Natural Resources and Transportation Budget Committee on expenditures from each category of the fire suppression account

Maintains existing permitted uses of the fire suppression account including fire suppression costs, fuel reduction, forest restoration, equipment grants for county cooperatives, federal land forest management, collaborative group support, road maintenance, and fire preparedness

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
