Creates a 5-year statute of repose for damages or other relief claims arising from appraisals or appraisal reviews conducted by real estate appraisers, appraisal firms, or appraisal management companies

Extends the repose period to 8 years for actions subject to the limitation period found in 27-2-202(1)

Applies to licensed or certified real estate appraisers, registered appraisal management companies, and real estate appraisal firms that engage appraisers as owners, employees, or contractors

Does not extend any existing limitation periods prescribed by Montana law for bringing legal actions

Will be codified as part of Title 27, chapter 2, part 2 of Montana Code (limitation of actions)
