Requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to faithfully execute directives from the Board of Public Education issued under its constitutional authority (Article X, section 9(3)(a)) to exercise general supervision over the public school system

Removes language stating the Superintendent "has the general supervision of the public schools and districts of the state," clarifying the supervisory relationship between the two offices

References Article VI, section 4 of the Montana Constitution as the source of the Superintendent's authority to perform duties implementing and enforcing education law provisions

Amends Section 20-3-106, MCA, which outlines the Superintendent's 30 specific duties including teacher certification, school budgeting, accreditation recommendations, and distribution of state education aid

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval
