Increases the number of bill drafts interim committees may request on a partisan basis from 4 to 5, while maintaining unlimited bipartisan bill draft requests.

Redefines "partisan basis" to mean a vote in which only members of the majority party vote to request a bill draft, replacing the previous definition of "only one party."

Defines "bipartisan basis" as a vote in which members from more than one party vote to request a bill draft.

Amends Section 5-5-215, MCA, governing interim committee duties.

Effective immediately upon passage and approval.
