Extends the maximum reemployment period for retired teachers, specialists, and administrators from 3 years to 5 years without loss of retirement benefits (through June 30, 2029)

Applies to retirees with 27+ years of creditable service who hold valid teaching certificates and work for second-class or third-class school districts unable to fill positions with non-retired applicants

Extends the termination date of the working retiree program from June 30, 2027 to June 30, 2029

Requires employers to contribute monthly retirement system payments and certify annually that positions could not be filled after advertising

Effective July 1, 2025, with the expanded 5-year provision terminating June 30, 2029
