Removes the requirement that election day tabulation must continue without adjournment until all ballots are counted, giving counties more flexibility in processing ballots

Maintains the requirement that initial results be released no earlier than 8 p.m. after all voters have completed voting, with updates at least every 3 hours until completion

Preserves public observation requirements for all official vote counts, including resolution and counting areas

Retains the prohibition on releasing pre-election day tabulation results until after polls close and all voters have finished voting

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval
