All digital maps of Montana must be updated to match the state library's map by August 1, 2025, and within 30 days of annual updates thereafter, with former river locations labeled as "Private land surface owned by adjacent landowner. Permission required."

Prohibits firing shotguns or rifles from watercraft on navigable rivers or across navigable rivers from banks for big game hunting or hunting wildlife other than migratory game birds with a shotgun.

Restricts using navigable rivers to access state-owned or state-claimed islands for hunting, except for waterfowl hunting or hunting with bow/crossbow unless commission rules specifically permit otherwise.

Requires the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation to provide navigable river mapping data to the state library by June 1, 2025, and by January 1 annually, with the state library updating its GIS map within 30 days.

Effective immediately upon passage and approval.
