Creates the Montana Water Development State Special Revenue Account, funded by gifts to the state, legislative transfers, and self-generated interest

Transfers $100 million from the general fund to the new account: $50 million by August 1, 2025 and $50 million by August 1, 2026

Distributes 90% of investment earnings to the Water Storage State Special Revenue Account for construction, operation, rehabilitation, expansion, maintenance, and modification of state-owned water storage projects

Distributes 10% of investment earnings to the Natural Resources Projects State Special Revenue Account for water storage pilot projects and dam inspections

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
