Expands Montana's early literacy targeted intervention programs to include numeracy (math) skills alongside reading, allowing schools to identify and assist children at risk of not achieving math proficiency by the end of 3rd grade

Removes the restriction limiting eligibility evaluations to April, May, or June, giving school districts greater flexibility in when they can assess children for intervention programs

Requires the Board of Public Education to establish multiple evaluation methodologies (rather than a single methodology) to determine whether children are on track for reading or math proficiency

Updates reporting requirements so the Superintendent of Public Instruction must include math assessment data in annual reports to the education interim committee, tracking outcomes through grades 4-6 and beyond

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval, with a transition provision allowing districts to implement numeracy-based evaluations as soon as the Board of Public Education determines the methodology
