Retired Teachers' Retirement System members may now work as mentors to newly hired teachers during their break-in-service period, in addition to the existing allowance for substitute teaching, for up to 45 days

Members who terminated employment on or after January 1, 2024 have a reduced break-in-service period of 120 calendar days before returning to a reportable position, compared to 150 days for earlier retirees

Extends the termination date of the temporary working retiree provisions from June 30, 2027 to June 30, 2029

Effective date is July 1, 2025, with the entire act terminating June 30, 2029
