Amends Section 39-71-407, MCA to clarify that whether an employer furnishes transportation or reimburses an employee for travel, gas, oil, or lodging costs is not dispositive of whether the employee is covered by workers' compensation while traveling.

Employees injured or killed while traveling remain covered only if the employer furnishes transportation or provides reimbursement as part of the employment agreement AND the travel is necessitated by and on behalf of the employer, OR if travel is required as part of job duties.

Payments designated as jobsite incentives in collective bargaining agreements, policy manuals, or employee handbooks are explicitly excluded from qualifying as travel reimbursement for coverage purposes.

Applies to workers' compensation claims for injuries or deaths occurring on or after October 1, 2025.
