Secretary of state must poll all legislators on each statewide initiative within 5 working days after the petition signature deadline, with legislators given up to 20 calendar days to respond with "support," "do not support," or "no position"

Summary results of the legislative poll must appear on the ballot and in voter information pamphlets, displayed by majority vote within each political party (e.g., "Most Republican legislators voted to oppose...")

Legislators may return poll ballots in person, by mail, fax, or email, and cannot change their vote after submission

Legislative referral votes on statewide referenda must also be displayed on ballots using the same party-majority format

Effective immediately upon passage and applies to initiatives submitted on or after the effective date
