Amends Montana Code 45-7-207 to create an enhanced penalty for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence specifically in connection with a homicide or homicide investigation

Standard evidence tampering remains punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or up to $50,000 fine

Homicide-related evidence tampering that affects a coroner's or medical examiner's ability to determine cause or manner of death carries up to 40 years imprisonment and/or up to $100,000 fine
