Extends criminal immunity from drug possession charges to women seeking postpartum health care up to 12 months after delivery, in addition to existing protections for pregnant women seeking prenatal care or substance use disorder treatment

Prohibits a parent's positive drug test from being used as the sole factor to begin child abuse/neglect investigations, place children in protective care, initiate abuse/neglect proceedings, or terminate parental rights

Amends Montana's Help Save Lives from Overdose Act (Section 50-32-609, MCA) to add these parental protections alongside existing Good Samaritan provisions

Clarifies that the law does not create new criminal liability for pregnant women with substance use disorder who choose not to seek treatment
