Requires faculty at Montana higher education institutions to provide make-up opportunities for assignments, exams, midterms, and finals missed by military reserve or National Guard students due to inactive duty training or annual training

Students must provide at least 5 business days advance notice to faculty before absences for military training, unless military necessity requires shorter notice

Faculty must allow at least 15 business days for students to complete missed coursework, with a minimum of 5 business days if the institution certifies a shorter period is needed for federal financial aid or graduation requirements

Adds statutory definitions for "inactive duty training" and "annual training" as federally funded duty performed under Title 10 or Title 32 of the U.S. Code

Applies to eligible students who are members of U.S. armed forces reserve components or the Montana National Guard enrolled at institutions under the Board of Regents
