Contract provisions that prohibit or discourage filing complaints against licensed professionals (under sections 37-1-308 or 37-1-402) or participating in complaint investigations are void and unenforceable

Licensees commit unprofessional conduct if they enter into contracts containing such prohibited provisions or retaliate against individuals who file licensing complaints

General waivers of claims remain valid but cannot be interpreted to waive the right to file licensing board complaints

The act applies prospectively and does not affect rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that existed before the effective date

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
