Establishes mandatory minimum sentence of 6 months imprisonment for perjury, with maximum penalty of 10 years in state prison and up to $50,000 fine

Increases false swearing penalties to mandatory minimum of 30 days in county jail (maximum 90 days) with fines ranging from $500 to $1,500

Requires credible allegations of perjury or false swearing to be investigated by an agency other than the judiciary or officers of the court

Amends Montana Code Annotated sections 45-7-201 (perjury) and 45-7-202 (false swearing)
