Creates a new pathway allowing any two or more school districts to reorganize and form a unified K-12 school district, regardless of whether they are elementary, high school, or K-12 districts

Requires county superintendents to modify school district boundaries when necessary to accommodate reorganizations into K-12 districts

Replaces the term "consolidation" with "reorganization" throughout Montana education statutes to reflect the broader scope of district combination options

Establishes that when districts reorganize to form a K-12 district under the new pathway, any existing bonded indebtedness remains an obligation of the original territory of each district rather than being jointly assumed

Effective July 1, 2025
