Entities convicted of human smuggling lose eligibility for property tax exemptions under MCA 15-6-201 and income tax exemptions under MCA 15-31-102

Property used in human smuggling is subject to criminal forfeiture, including vehicles, money, equipment, proceeds, and other assets; forfeiture proceedings must begin within 45 days of seizure

Forfeiture proceeds go first to security interest holders, with remainder deposited in the crime victims compensation account; effective July 1, 2025
