Day-care centers serving children under 1 year of age or children at risk of severe illness from communicable diseases due to individual health care needs may adopt policies on whether to accept immunization exemptions under Montana law (20-5-405)

Day-care centers that adopt such policies must provide notice to parents or guardians

Amends Section 52-2-735, MCA, which governs health protection and certification requirements for day-care centers

Existing requirements remain unchanged: children under 5 must be immunized against Haemophilus influenza type "b" before admission unless an exemption is claimed
