Landlords are prohibited from charging additional fees based on rent payment type (cash, check, electronic, or other agreed forms), with one exception: landlords may pass through actual electronic bank fees incurred for electronic payments

Adds a statutory definition of "rent payment type" to include cash, check, electronic payment, and other forms agreed upon in the rental agreement

Applies to both standard residential rental agreements (MCA 70-24) and mobile home park lot rentals (MCA 70-33)

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor
