Original equipment manufacturers must provide documentation, parts, and tools for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing agricultural equipment emission systems to independent repair providers and equipment owners on fair and reasonable terms

Manufacturers are prohibited from using "parts pairing" or other mechanisms to prevent installation of functional replacement parts, reduce equipment performance after independent repairs, or create false warnings about non-manufacturer parts

Agricultural equipment covered includes machinery used in farming, horticulture, viticulture, dairy, livestock, poultry, bee raising, forestry, and property maintenance (motor vehicles excluded)

Violations constitute unfair or deceptive trade practices under Montana law with corresponding penalties

Effective April 1, 2026, applying retroactively to equipment manufactured on or after July 1, 2015
