Requires powered wheelchair manufacturers to provide documentation, parts, and tools to independent repair providers and owners for diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of wheelchairs sold or used in Montana

Electronic documentation must be provided free of charge; physical printed copies and tools may be charged at actual cost of preparation and delivery

Parts must be offered to independent repairers and owners at the same costs and terms as authorized repair providers, including equivalent discounts, rebates, and delivery options

Violations constitute unlawful practices under the Montana Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act

Manufacturers are not required to disclose trade secrets and are not liable for damage caused by independent repair providers or owners during repairs; effective January 1, 2026
