Requests an interim study of the Montana Residential Landlord and Tenant Act and the Montana Residential Mobile Home Lot Rental Act, both approaching their 50th anniversary

Study would review both acts for outdated provisions, compare Montana's laws with other states' policies, and examine impacts of private equity firm housing ownership on affordability and tenant protections

Approximately 30% of Montanans rent their homes, and manufactured housing represents about 9% of the state's housing stock

Requires stakeholder input from renters, landlords, mobile home park residents and owners, tenant unions, attorneys, and housing policy experts

Study must be completed by September 15, 2026, with findings reported to the 70th Legislature
