Requests the Legislative Council to designate an interim committee to study ways to enhance media literacy through education in Montana schools

Requires collaboration with the Office of Public Instruction, Board of Public Education, educator preparation programs, media literacy teachers, and state/national organizations with expertise in the field

Directs the committee to review current content standards for media literacy, gather input on best practices and challenges from teachers, and examine successful efforts in other states

Study must be completed by September 15, 2026, with final results reported to the 70th Legislature

Cites concerns about accelerated smartphone and screen media usage among children and harmful media use by "nefarious actors" as rationale for the study
