Montana House Resolution recognizing what sponsors characterize as the Democratic Party's historical connection to racism, including slavery, the Trail of Tears, Jim Crow laws, the Ku Klux Klan, Japanese American internment, and segregation

Urges the Montana Democratic Party and Democratic National Committee to issue a formal public apology for the party's historic role in defending slavery, opposing civil rights, promoting eugenics, and enforcing racial segregation

Calls for the Democratic Party itself (not taxpayers) to consider reparations and restitution for harms caused by Democratic-led policies from slavery to segregation and internment

Declares intent to pursue legislation banning diversity, equity, and inclusion frameworks, critical race theory, and ESG scoring in all state institutions

Directs the House Minority Leader to send copies of the resolution to multiple organizations including the Montana Democratic Party, DNC, Planned Parenthood, NAACP, ACLU, and the President of the United States
