Expands eligible educational partners for the Montana Indian Language Preservation Program beyond public school districts to include community choice schools, nonpublic schools, tribal schools, postsecondary institutions, and early learning providers

Requires tribal government applications to describe integration with school district Indian language immersion programs and utilization of curriculum materials developed by tribes from 2013-2021 that are housed at the Montana Historical Society

Encourages tribal entities administering the program to collaborate with each other and with national and international language preservation organizations for professional development

Mandates applications include plans for building multigenerational fluency through partnerships with early learning providers and adult education offerings

Effective July 1, 2025, with the Secretary of State required to notify all federally recognized tribal governments in Montana
