Establishes the "Montana Solar Shares Act" allowing shared solar energy facilities between 50 kilowatts and 5 megawatts to connect to public utility distribution systems and provide on-bill credits to multiple subscribing customers within the same service territory

Requires public utilities to interconnect qualifying shared solar facilities and grant kilowatt-hour credits to subscribers, with facility owners responsible for all administrative costs

Allows subscribing customers to transfer credits between accounts within the same service territory or assign their share to nonprofits or low-income energy programs

Grants subscribers ownership of renewable energy credits associated with their proportion of generated electricity from the shared facility

Directs the Public Service Commission to adopt implementing rules within 1 year, including bill credit rates, consumer protections, and nondiscriminatory participation requirements for all customer classes
