Expands the definition of "dependent child" for survivor benefits to include unmarried children under 24 attending accredited secondary schools as full-time students, in addition to postsecondary institutions

Applies to three public safety retirement systems: Highway Patrol Officers' Retirement System (Section 19-6-101), Municipal Police Officers' Retirement System (Section 19-9-104), and Firefighters' Unified Retirement System (Section 19-13-104)

Allows dependent children of deceased members to continue receiving survivor benefits while completing high school or pursuing secondary education certificates

Maintains existing requirements that dependent children must be unmarried and enrolled full-time in anticipation of receiving a certificate or degree
