Allows the Senate President or House Speaker, together with either the Governor or Attorney General, to vacate a writ of mandamus issued against elected executive officials, individual legislators, or the legislature

Applies to writs compelling document production or requiring officials to perform or refrain from performing an action

Requires the joint pleading to be filed within 10 business days of the court issuing the writ

Prohibits enforcement of any writ vacated through this process

Shields elected officials from civil or criminal contempt of court findings when a writ is vacated under this provision
