Eliminates the statutory requirement for a student regent position on the Montana Board of Regents, which currently reserves one seat for a full-time student serving a 1-year term (July 1 to June 30)

Removes the nomination process requiring a student organization designated by the Board of Regents to forward at least three qualified student nominees to the governor

Governor must appoint a new member on July 1, 2025, to fill the vacant position created by eliminating the student regent, with an initial term ending January 31, 2030

Full 7-year terms for the replacement position begin February 1, 2030
