Amends the standard for emergency child removal from "immediate or apparent danger of harm" to "immediate or imminent danger of harm," requiring a more concrete and time-sensitive threat before a child can be removed from their home

Applies the same "immediate or imminent" standard to when the department may provide emergency protective services to a child suspected of suffering abuse or neglect

Amends two sections of Montana Code Annotated: 41-3-202 (Action on reporting) and 41-3-301 (Emergency protective services)

Authorizes child protection specialists, peace officers, or county attorneys to immediately remove and place a child in a protective facility when the revised standard is met
