Department of Revenue prohibited from denying or withholding approval of an alcohol license transfer solely because the seller owes outstanding taxes, penalties, or interest to the department

Sale proceeds from alcohol license transfers remain subject to any existing liens or warrants for distraint the department has filed against the seller under MCA 16-1-414

Amends sections 16-4-404 and 16-6-303 of the Montana Code Annotated governing alcohol license transfers and liquor sale requirements

Effective immediately upon passage and approval, applying to all license transfers pending or filed after the effective date
